🧡 Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation here in Canada 🇨🇦

We encourage you to use today to explore the rich and diverse cultures, voices, experiences and stories of the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

Here’s a few additional ways to put reconciliation into action:
> Wear orange today, Sept. 30 in honour of the survivors of residential schools
> Support local Indigenous businesses
> Visit Indigenous historical sites, such as Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump, Blackfoot Crossing, Writing on Stone or Majorville Medicine Wheel / Majorville Cairn
> Volunteer at or donate to local Indigenous charities
> Enrol in the free Indigenous Canada course from U of A, which explores the different histories and contemporary perspectives of Indigenous peoples living in Canada
> Hosting an important event? Consider hiring an Elder to do a blessing, and including a land acknowledgement statement
> Read The Truth and Reconciliation Commission report, where 94 calls to action are outlined
