Frequently Asked Questions
Why would I purchase Extended Warranty?
Warranty can begin before a new home has an owner, however many purchasers expect warranty to begin the day they move in. With Extended warranty, you can meet those expectations and secure peace-of-mind with your purchaser.
What am I, the homebuilder, responsible for?
In order to purchase an Extended Warranty, the homebuilder is required to be approved by ANHWP and provide an indemnification for the periods of coverage required. Learn more – reach out to your Account Manager.
Who pays for an Extended Warranty?
Upon the purchase of an Extended Warranty, the homebuilder will be invoiced. An endorsement (which is an amendment to their Home Warranty Insurance Policy) will be sent to the homeowner, advising them of their newly topped-up protection period, including the premium paid.
Can I purchase Extended Warranty for multi-family homes?
Extended Warranty can be applied to multi-family homes, however coverage is limited to each individual unit, not common property. Our Light and Advanced options are perfect for a multi-family fit.
Can we choose the extension option for each unique home?
Yes – the decision to apply this product is up to you, and is flexible to suit your needs. We have an ANHWP-approved Extended Warranty emblem that you can use to indicate which homes have top-up coverage.
