ANHWP is proud to highlight Cantiro, one of our outstanding Builder Members, recently named Builder of the Year at the Canadian Home Builders’ Association – Edmonton Region Awards of Excellence. Cantiro was a finalist for 32 awards and walked away with an impressive 16. This is the third year in a row that Cantiro has been awarded Builder of the Year – Multi-Family, and this year they also won Builder of the Year – Large Volume, Best Net Zero Home, Industry Leadership, Best Community for The Hills at Charlesworth in Southeast Edmonton, and Best Townhome Project for Cantiro Townhomes in Keswick. Talk about impressive!

This historic achievement for Cantiro shows the culmination of several years of hard work, dedication, and transformation across the company. According to Cantiro, this timing was a ‘perfect storm’ of projects and opportunities. Winning these awards serves as motivation for the company to continue striving for excellence, which is evident in the Cantiro ethos of “Never been done has never stopped us.”

“Cantiro truly is a Canadian-leader in housing excellence and innovation,” says Scott Hamilton, ANHWP President and CEO. “They combine high-professionalism and expertise in homebuilding with an exceptional empathy for the homebuyer experience, both in the process of buying and building a home, and in living in that home for years after, with a long track record of beloved, high-quality homes to their name.”

Cantiro has a rich history that started as Dolce Vita Homes, where it quickly established itself as one of the most popular homebuilders in the greater Edmonton residential sector. It has been a major player in some of the Edmonton’s top communities and continues to be among the most prolific builders in the area. In 2002, Cantiro played a key role in getting the Windermere Area Structure Plan approved, adding thousands of households to one of the most popular areas in the city. By 2015, the company launched its multi-family division and took the original West Block (Glenora) project out of foreclosure from another developer and into greatness including winning Best Apartment Building in 2020, 2021 and 2022. In 2020, what was then the Beaverbrook Group of Companies, comprised of Dolce Vita, MODA, InHouse, Beaverbrook Communities, Beaverbrook Commercial, rebranded themselves as Cantiro, bringing all its divisions together to spur innovation and collaboration and marking the beginning of an entirely new journey with the purpose of creating environments for amazing lives to happen.

As Cantiro continues to grow and innovate, new homebuyers have more exciting progress to look forward to this year, including two new interior style packages and new home models across all product lines. Cantiro is also developing new communities for late 2023/early 2024 in southwest and southeast Edmonton, Sherwood Park, and St. Albert, including a new collection of townhomes. Additionally, the Ascension Block project is now selling and under construction, offering 11 higher-end townhomes starting in the mid-$800,000 level. The West Block Glenora project, being developed as an mixed-use urban village, has completed its first phase, with a few units left in the residential tower. All these developments are backed by our 1-2-5-10 year warranty coverage, which offers new homeowners’ piece of mind knowing their beautifully built Cantiro home is secured.

Hamilton adds, “At the end of the day Cantiro is everything a buyer could want in a homebuilder: trustworthy, personable, competent, and attentive to the little details that make homes special. ANHWP is proud to have Cantiro as a Builder member and we congratulate them on their exceptional accomplishments.”
