Your July Home Maintenance Checklist:

  • Clean Your HRV Filters

With the spring pollen, street sweeping, and wildfire smoke creeping in, it’s a good idea to clean your HRV filter! Simply vacuum the filter, or let soak in mild detergent and warm water, and pop it back in place when it is dry!

  • Inspect Your Foundation

Parging is the protective layer around your foundation that you can see. It is there to fill any imperfections and protect against moisture. Visible cracks are normal, but if you notice the parging falling off, fix it up to prevent damage to your basement!

  • Seal Your Driveway

Applying breathable surface sealer can reduce damage caused by de-icing and road salts. Sealers penetrate concrete up to 3mm while allowing the concrete to breathe making your driveway more durable to abrasive forces and UV deterioration.

  • Monthly duties:

Remember to do these every month:

    • Check the batteries in your smoke and CO2 Detectors
    • Replace or clean your furnace air filter
    • Clean your hood range filter
