Salesforce Administrator
Located in Calgary, Alberta (hybrid work schedule)
The Alberta New Home Warranty Program Group of Companies (ANHWP Group), is Alberta’s most experienced and most trusted new home warranty provider and educator for homebuilders. As Alberta’s leader in new home warranty products and services for over 45 years, we continue to raise the bar to meet the needs of homeowners and our Builder Members.
This position resides with the Alberta New Home Warranty Program (ANHWP) and works alongside The New Home Warranty Insurance (Canada) Corporation (NHWICC) and the Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta (PHBI).
Accountable For
The Salesforce Administrator’s primary role is to provide leadership, expertise and overall ownership of our education division (PHBI) Salesforce environment and ecosystem including linkages with websites, learning management system and financial systems. This position is required to understand varying system requirements, stakeholders, and client’s interests, with the end goal of helping users utilize the technology stack to meet business goals. This position focuses on supporting the organization to continually improve and enhance our Salesforce platform, gather requirements and feedback, design scalable best practice solutions, and manage the product road map.
Responsibilities
This is a varied business-facing role, with the following responsibilities:
- All aspects of user and license management including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD, sharing rules
- Salesforce configuration changes, including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, dashboards and reports
- Understanding of when Apex Triggers are used and how to troubleshoot issues using Apex. A 3rd party partner is engaged for code changes, but the Administrator should be able to identify how and when Apex is used within the system
- Sandbox environment management
- DevOps/release management experience
- Strong business analysis skills required, understanding associated business processes in detail and then designing an appropriate solution that enables key business success criteria
- Must be able to confidently engage with stakeholders, focusing on solving a business problem, pushing back when needed to ensure the simplest solution is always considered
- Administrator must have an iterative mindset that aligns with building a simple solution so that it can be quickly vetted by the business while keeping scalability in mind
- Identify unused or underutilized platform features
- Create a platform roadmap and define priorities, liaising with stakeholders
- Own the communication of any platform changes to end-users and stakeholders
- Data management to improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed
- Comfortable using industry standard data loading tools e.g.:
- Data Import Wizard
- Apex Data Loader
- DataLoader.io
- Proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimizer
- User support tickets
- Reporting and Data Analysis
- Monitor and improve user adoption
- Development and management of an end-user training program via multi-channel approach (eg. classroom, one-on-one, screen recordings, quick reference guides) so that users are supported to drive high adoption rate
- Technical documentation
- Management of integrated applications and third-party suppliers and technology partners including
- Conga Composer
- Moneris (Payment Gateway Solution Integration)
- Tibco/Scribe (Integrations with MS Dynamics GP)
- Absorb Learning Management System
Skills & Experience
Required:
- Certified Salesforce Administrator
- Certified Pardot Specialist
- Strong Salesforce product knowledge and at least 5+ years of Salesforce Administration hands-on experience with some or all of the listed below:
- Sales & Service Cloud
- Commerce Cloud
- Experience Cloud
- Pardot/Marketing Cloud
- Tableau
Desired:
- Bachelor’s/Postgraduate degree, or professional qualification
- Additional Salesforce certifications:
- Certified Advanced Administrator
- Certified Platform App Builder
- Certified Experience Cloud Consultant
