Customer Satisfaction Study

The Alberta New-Home Builder Customer Satisfaction StudySM is conducted in the province of Alberta by J.D. Power and Associates. The study measures new-home buyer satisfaction throughout the entire purchase and early ownership experience and is exclusive to the Builder Members of The Alberta New Home Warranty Program.

About six months after taking possession of their new home, all homeowners who chose a Builder Member of the Program receive a comprehensive survey about their homebuilding experience.

In the study, buyers are asked to evaluate their builder in eight factors. In order of importance, they are: home readiness; service/warranty staff; sales process/staff; construction/site team; workmanship/materials; price/value; physical design; design process.

The information from the surveys is compiled and the feedback is used to help Builder Members improve their building practices. The information is also used to publish Power Circle RatingsTM - an indicator of the Builder Members' performance.

The 2009 Alberta Single-Family New-Home Builder Customer Satisfaction Study is based on responses from 6,580 buyers within the Province of Alberta who purchased newly built single-family and multi-family homes.
