If, after mediation, there is still no agreement, there are alternatives. Unresolved issues involving Material and Workmanship can go through the Conciliation process.
At this point, the Program will ask you for more details about the issue and your builder’s response to date. You’ll also be asked for copies of any written documents or correspondence which you’ve had with the builder regarding the issue.
An Inspector/Conciliator will be assigned from the Program’s Inspection Services Group to visit your new home and investigate. When an investigation is completed, the Inspector/Conciliator will prepare a Conciliation Report which outlines the situation and the investigation’s findings and will outline responsibility.
